Nourish & Warm

This week, DSD came together for Nourish & Warm, an event focused on meeting both immediate needs and human dignity. Our team served 300+ hot plates featuring grilled chicken, egg fried rice, chicken tenders, cornbread, and cupcakes, while also distributing 100+ winter coats to Detroit community members facing the cold.

What made this day special wasn’t just the food or the coats it was the collective effort behind it. From volunteers cooking and serving with intention, to supporters who helped supply meals and winter wear, every contribution mattered. Because of you, neighbors were able to enjoy a warm meal, stay protected from the cold, and feel seen and cared for.
